First, create a strong profile about yourself, your interests and what you can offer people coming to visit your area. Add if you can host them or pick them up.
Add your hourly rate to your profile to ensure travelers know how much you charge. If you are wanting to show people around your city for free, you can also offer this.
As you'd receive a new request, you'll have an option of accepting or denying it. Localites provides you with an interface to chat with others, without having to share your personal details until you want to.
Show travelers around your area, make new friends and have fun. After the trip, ask the travelers to leave you a reference so you can create a more positive profile and hopefully attract more people.
If you can host travelers, just update your profile as per your convenience. Including: how many members you can host, is hosting free or not, and whether space is private or shared.
Enable in your profile if you can pick-up travelers from their place or airport/station. Also, you can include whether you have a vehicle or not and if so, what type of vehicle you have.
Just to let you know that if you are not traveling and available for new trip requests, make sure to keep your profile in one of the following statuses: 'Accepting Trip Requests' or 'Maybe Accepting Trip Requests'. If your status is under 'Not Accepting Trip Requests', your profile won't appear in the search results.

If you have more friends in the community, your profile will be ranked higher in your location. The more friends you have, the higher ranking will be given to your profile.
